Moving business infrastructure to cloud services while holding sole responsibility for IT across the London and New York operations.

Responsibility
IT infrastructure across both offices
Platforms
Microsoft Access, Azure and cloud telephony

The setting

Sound Performance’s London and New York offices depended on business infrastructure that included a bespoke Microsoft Access database and office phone systems. As IT Manager, I was solely responsible for the infrastructure across both locations.

My work

  • Managed the bespoke Microsoft Access database, including its migration to Azure.
  • Moved much of the existing business infrastructure to cloud services.
  • Migrated the phone systems in both office locations to cloud services.

What changed

The database was migrated to Azure, and the phone systems in both offices moved to cloud services. The work formed part of a broader move of the business infrastructure to the cloud, alongside my ongoing responsibility for the UK and US environments.
